Frequently Asked Questions
For the Troubleshooting Guide.
General Questions
Why does [country] not have a focus tree yet?
We appreciate the interest in our content! Focus trees are developed based on team availability and prioritization. The development team consists of volunteers who work on this project in their spare time. We cannot provide ETA on when specific content will be added.
I’ve found a bug. How do I report it?
Please report bugs on our Discord (opens in new tab) in the designated bug report channel. Reports made elsewhere may be lost.
Will you add civilian casualties or nuclear effects that kill divisions?
No. These features violate Paradox Interactive’s Terms of Service. We do not and will not implement such content.
Why is there only one start date?
The team decided to focus on the 2000 start date as it provides the most content potential. Removing the 2017 start date also improved mod performance and file size efficiency.
Will you add additional start dates (e.g., 1943, 1999, 2142)?
No. Creating a new start date essentially requires creating a new mod, as all events, focus trees, and historical content must be recreated for that period. Maintaining additional start dates would significantly impact development resources.
When will the next update be released?
Check our Discord for announcements and development updates.
How do I change my country’s religion?
Unless your country has a focus that allows religious changes, this is not possible through gameplay. Console commands can be used for testing purposes.
How do I change internal faction requirements if they require 2000+ political power?
To reduce your country’s power level:
- Remove factories and infrastructure
- Allow other countries to influence you
- Transition from superpower to regional power status
The mod looks broken for me. What should I try?
Disable any submods. Many visual or gameplay issues are caused by submod conflicts.
How do I download the mod with an older game version?
Backwards compatible versions are available on our GitHub Releases page.
Will you add current real-world events to the game?
We do not add ongoing events as their outcomes are uncertain. Once events conclude, we may consider adding them based on development priorities and available resources.
Suggestion Guidelines
Why was my suggestion ignored or rejected?
Suggestions may be rejected for several reasons:
-
Paradox TOS Compliance: Even though we create this mod, Paradox Interactive maintains authority over its content. Features that violate their Terms of Service (no war crimes, no human rights violations) cannot be added.
-
Scope and Practicality: Some suggestions require impractical amounts of work:
- Adding micronations (unless strategically significant like a Caribbean nation)
- Adding celestial bodies (incompatible with the game’s map system)
- Adding parliament features to every country
-
Ongoing Events: We are aware of current events. Adding them while they are still developing would be premature, as outcomes are unknown.
-
Unclear Suggestions: Please provide specific implementation details. For example, “high-speed railroad” could mean:
- New infrastructure type (not possible)
- Revised infrastructure levels
- A decision to build more infrastructure
-
Historical Claims: We add historical or irredentist claims only when currently claimed (e.g., Syria claiming Antioch, China claiming Taiwan). Pre-WW1 borders are not added due to modern treaties and geopolitical reality.
How should I format my suggestions?
Compare your suggestion against the criteria above. Vague or impractical suggestions are unlikely to be implemented.
